MEDIUM OF INSTRUCTIONS: English.

COURSE DURATION: 12 Months (Compulsory Residential).

ELIGIBILITY:

  • Successfully completed the Senior Secondary Examination (10+2) or its equivalent with:
  • At least 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (P C M), and At least 50% marks in English

AGE:

Between 17.5 years to 25 years before entry in training

COURSE FEES:

  • The course fees for one-year pre-sea diploma in nautical science leading to b.sc nautical science affiliated to Indian maritime university is Rs. 2,50,000 – 3,00,000 which is to be paid by the candidates in one or instalments as per institute norms.

HSC OR 10+2 (PCM 60%, ENG 50%) OR WITH PHYSICS ONE OF THE SUBJECTS IN B.SC. WITH A MINIMUM OF 20% IN FINAL YEAR OR B.E/B.TECH. DEGREE

ONE YEAR PRE-SEA TRAINING (DIP.IN NAUTICAL SCIENCE) ATIMU (I&II SEMESTERS)+4 STOW COURSES

MINIMUM 18 MONTHS SEA SERVICE WITH DISTANCE LEARNING (III, IV, V, SEMESTERS)
↓
4 MONTHS POST SEA SECOND MATE (FUNCTIONAL) COURSE AT IMU + MODULAR COURSES & TO CLEAR III, IV, V & VI SEMESTER EXAMS
↓
 OBTAIN B.SC. NAUTICAL SCIENCE DEGREE (IMU) OBTAIN SECOND MATE (FG) CERTIFICATE OF COMPETENCY (DGS)
↓
18 MONTHS SEA SEVICE AS 3RD . 2ND MATE

3 MONTHS FIRST MATE (PHASE-I)COURSES
