If the humidity of the air is to be increased, in the ship’s centralised A/C system the humidifier is to be used. For reducing the humidity, especially when the atmosphere is hot and humid, the air is cooled to a lower temperature, whereby the moisture in the air that is cooled condenses and is drained off the A/C machine. This results in cooler and drier air that is according to the air in the comfort zone.
